What happened to my old Booktype 1.6 account?

 

Your Booktype account is running on the 1.6 version; we will no longer be maintaining that version and will be closing all accounts and instances based on this version starting May 31st, 2016. 

If you are still working on books in your Booktype account, please contact us within the before August 1st. Until then, it would be possible to recover your data. If you still need a book editor, please have a look at our new writers platform Omnibook (https://omnibook.pro).

 

Omnibook is based on the latest Booktype version and is constantly being updated with the newest features. All you need to do is sign up for free and start writing your book (one book per account). The import function in Omnibook enables you to import Word docx manuscripts or your existing e-books from your current Booktype Pro account. So to move and existing content, simply export your books to an epub file on the existing 1.6 Booktype instance and import them to omnibook.
